I currently have two series of small works. Both of the series are encaustic.

The Emotions series are photos that I digitally manipulate. I then print the photo onto paper that has been tea, coffee or wine stained. After I attach the photo to a wood panel, I cover the image with multiple layers of wax, carve into the wax to reveal the image then add oil paint to enhance the lines. Each image is given a name of a feeling or emotion.

The Smalls and Bigger Smalls are created from rust marked paper attached to wood panels. I then apply multiple layers of wax and embed small pieces of rusty metal into the molten wax.
